This project showcases my expertise in Vehicle Data API integration, implemented for Switch Fleet Services. The goal was to build a smart solution that connects vehicle details directly with relevant products like tyres, batteries, and car accessories. By integrating the VehicleGlobal API, I enabled customers to quickly filter and find compatible products, making the shopping experience smooth and user-friendly.
Challenge
Switch Fleet Services wanted a system where users could enter their vehicle details and instantly get accurate product recommendations. Without proper data integration, customers often faced confusion when selecting tyres or accessories for their cars. This not only reduced customer trust but also affected sales.
Solution
I implemented a Vehicle Data API integration that connected the VehicleGlobal database with the store’s product inventory. The system fetches real-time vehicle information and matches it with available tyres, batteries, and other automotive accessories. Additionally, I developed a custom filtering mechanism that ensures users can search by registration number, make, model, or year.
The integration was built with performance and scalability in mind, ensuring fast response times and a seamless user journey. By combining custom PHP coding with optimized database queries, I made the system efficient and SEO-friendly.
